Hmm, I have a sudden inspiration to write after I saw this certain clip from you tube.
Notice how the girl started out as a plain Jane next door, and with all the makeup and hair do, she looked almost different. However, the advertiser was not satisfied with the outcome and went to photoshop the image of the model to make her look perfect and flawless. This ad does have a hidden meaning, doesn't it? No one really knew what was hidden behind the media, everything seemed to be so glamorous, but we are fooled by what we see. No wonder our image of beauty is distorted, look at what they did to the original photo in the ad! It kind of struck me now that those beauties we see on advertisements might have their image photoshoped as well, misleading us to believe that's what we'd become if we use this, or buy this, or do that. This shows that we have always been victimized by the media because our mentality and concept of a certain issue is always being distorted by what we see or hear.
